  • INFORMATION

”Environmental Impact Assessment in the Age of Transition”

Today, we are working on achieving a sustainable society worldwide. The movement towards the goal of nature-positive and carbon-neutrality is accelerating. The post-Aichi targets for 2030 call for a shift from the “business as usual” use of natural resources to reduce and recover biodiversity loss (nature-positive). The Paris Agreement also calls for the enhancement and conservation of forests as sinks, in addition to reducing CO2 emissions, as is currently the case.
In this age of transition, where we need to reconsider about the role of environmental impact assessments (EIA), AIC aims to provide a forum for information exchange and international exchange on technologies and policies related to EIA and environmental conservation in Asia (ASEAN countries), with a focus on Japan, Korea, and China. This conference is to be held online in light of the current COVID-19 situation. If you wish to participate, please contact your country liaison below.

    DETAILS of APPLICATION
We accept presentations of research, technical reports, and case studies in a wide range of environmental conservation areas, including EIA, strategic environmental assessment (SEA), mitigation, nature restoration, environmental creation, green infrastructure, climate change, carbon neutrality, social impact assessment, life cycle assessment (LCA), SDGs, and environmental education
Presentations will be given in two formats: 1) oral presentations, and 2) poster presentations, in English.
